The first Professional Conduct Handbook was published in 1964. The last edition of the Handbook was published in 1998. The Professional Conduct Handbooks were replaced by the Rules of Professional Conduct, which became effective in November 2000.
Prior to 1965, Convocation devised policies that were, from time to time, consolidated into Rule Books, the first of which was published in 1833.
